For those of you who e-mailed me ..... here are some photos that show the basic
idea. If you only operate 1 machine at a time this is a quick and inexpensive way to go .... my total install cost (besides the DC of course) was about $50 and I had her up and running in about an hour or so ..... try doing that with a fixed pipe system! There is a 20 foot section of 4" flex hose attached to my dust collector. I put a 'quick connect' fitting on the end and it stores on a wall when not is use. |
Some of my machinery came with a dust fitting that the hose just slips over .... like
my Jet 6" jointer ... |
For others .... I had to make the machine side fitting. I did this by cutting a
standard 4" coupling in half ...... tapered the end and attached it to my
machine ..... like this on my bandsaw... |
All in all .... it works well for me, and I am quite dust phobic! Knipfer This site is maintained by: Good-Lyddon Data Systems Copyright © 2004-2005 Joe Lyddon, WoodWorkStuff.net |
